Every other year, the Western Environment Centre hosts an annual fall fundraiser called Great Meals for a Change. The evening features a four course sustainable meal made with local ingredients, and some lively discussion. Proceeds from the event go towards the initiatives of the Western Environment Centre, including support for the Blow Me Down Community Garden. Come out and enjoy great food while supporting a local community group and learning more about local food!
Great Meals for a Change was not held in 2015, but stay tuned for future events!
When: Tuesday, November 4th from 6 – 9pm
Where: Blow Me Down Cross Country Ski Lodge, Corner Brook
Great Meals for a Change 2014 was a huge success! Thanks to all those who attended and we hope you enjoyed the meal as much as we enjoyed preparing it for you. Stay tuned to this page for details on our 2015 fundraiser next fall.
Originating in Nova Scotia, the Great Meals for a Change project aims to bring people together in a casual, social atmosphere to discuss ways to examine and even change existing food systems. Click here to visit the concept website.
